The first Oxeman mentioned in Kent is Johannes Oxeman who is mentioned in the Curia Regis Rolls in 1201.

The next Oxmans mentioned in Kent are not till 1563.

On 15 September 1563 Edwarde Oxmanne is christened as the son of Richard Oxmanne at St Paul's Church, Canterbury, Kent.
